Ministry Fair & BBQ

The WGBC Ministry Fair is a special time that we set aside to celebrate the opportunities that God has given us to connect and serve within our church, in our local community, and beyond.  This festive, community-building event encourages people to consider their gifts, and explore how they can be used to further the WGBC vision…Knowing God, Living Freely, Loving All.  It is a time to honor the Lord, to recognize & appreciate our volunteers, and to generate ministry awareness, enthusiasm, and involvement among our church family.  It offers people an easy way to ask questions and gather information about the many connecting, serving & outreach ministries that are active within our church community.

“...created for good works, speaking truth,...doing the will of God from the heart.” (From Ephesians)

There will be a BBQ lunch following the festivities. This year we will have a bounce house and other fun games for all. You won't want to miss it!

If you have any questions please contact Rebekah Frederickson.

Help CityTeam Oakland provide clothing for the many in their community.   We are collecting new or gently-used clothing items for men, women & children

Oakland Cityteam has a dress code for the men in their recovery program. They have to wear collard shirts or polo shirts. When they go out job searching, they need nicer clothes also. However, there is always a need for every type of clothing.

CityTeam Oakland partners with two inner city elementary schools in Oakland; Reach Academy and Vincent Academy. Many of these are single parent households and they don’t have the budget for clothing. The women's and children's clothing will be going to these partner schools.

Please double check your items to be sure there are no stains or holes.

Drop your bagged donations off at the Ministry table on Sunday, August 26.
