Our men’s ministry at WGBC focuses on developing constantly growing relationships with Jesus Christ that is both eternally and practically significant. He is the one who connects us, fills us, and gives us true purpose and rest.

There are a number of small men’s groups that meet regularly. We also offer men’s dinners and an annual retreat.

Men's Bible Studies

Studying ROmans

This group attempts to balance fellowship/sharing with study of the Word. We meet weekly, but alternate Bible study and fellowship week by week. We focus on understanding and applying the text. We strive to create an accepting environment, so that members feel free to share and give/receive prayer. Contact Clint Kelly or Jon Nickerson for more information.

Bible Study - Wednesdays |  6:30-7:45AM
Studying I John

This group meets in a room of its own over breakfast at Hickory Pit Restaurant to study the scriptures. The time is divided between sharing and an interactive time of study led by Gary Vanderet. The format is discussion-oriented and low-key.
Contact Gary for more information.

If you are interested in joining a co-ed group devoted to learning to read Biblical Hebrew we meet at the church conference room led by Mark Bucko and Jill Dodsworth.
Jill's group meets weekly and is an intermediate group.

Mark's group meets irregularly and is a beginner's group.
Contact Mark Bucko for the next meeting day and time.

Prayer Meeting - Wednesdays | 5:30am

If you are interested in weekly joining men in prayer, this group meets in the Chapel each Wednesday at 5:30am.
Contact John Lunsford for more information.

This year’s men’s retreat will be an incredible time at Mount Hermon with phenomenal speaker, Efrem Smith. There will also be time to bond together as men. Download the brochure for information.
